		Exacta Series EX200G Gel Cap Tester

The Newage® EX200G tester is an application-specific version of our popular EX200 Series production durometer. The EX200G is designed for gel cap hardness testing. Loads of 1N, 10N or 20N are applied to the gel cap using a 10mm presser foot to determine the hardness characteristics of the gel cap. A motorized elevating stage and application-specific firmware for gel cap testing are included. The 200 Series die-cast aluminum heads feature a precision, calibrated spring that generates a known preload on the indenter. The depth of penetration of the sample is indicated on a large analog dial by a pointer along a 0 to 100 scale. Heads are available with 1- or 2-point dial resolution for more precise measurements. The EX200/300G digital test stand can accommodate analog test heads using the appropriate mounting bracket. The test stand also features a digital readout that displays the test result to 0.1 resolution. The test stand features a 2-1/2” throat and a vertical capacity of 5”. The 125 mm diameter anvil table can be equipped with a motor option for automated motion control. Up to 2800 test results can be stored in the EX200/300G tester. Results can be used to generate statistical reports. An RS232 output allows information to be transmitted to personal computers, printers or other compatible output devices.
