		Exacta Series EX300 Digital Durometers

The Newage® EX300 Series digital durometer system is designed for hardness testing on rubber, plastic or other materials that utilize Shore A or D scales. The EX300 Series is optimized for the production floor where increased throughput is critical. The EX300 Series is comprised of a test head, bracket and test stand. Regular test heads meet ASTM D2240. You select the appropriate test head and bracket for mounting onto the EX200/300T digital test stand. An optional motor drive improves testing efficiency and operator productivity while helping to minimize operator influence on testing results. The 300 Series die-cast aluminum head has a load lever and deadweight for load application and may be motorized for automatic testing applications. An additional load weight is required when testing in the D scale and comes standard with the EX300SD test head. The depth of penetration of the sample is indicated on a large analog dial by a pointer along a 0 to 100 scale. Heads are available with 1- or 2-point dial resolution for more precise measurements. The EX200/300T digital test stand can accommodate analog test heads using the appropriate mounting bracket. The test stand also features a digital readout that displays the test result to 0.1 resolution. The test stand features a 2-1/2” throat and a vertical capacity of 5”. The 125 mm diameter anvil table can be equipped with a motor option for automated motion control. The keypad on the readout can be used to select the appropriate scale for testing: Shore A and Shore D. Users can also specify tolerances, control limits, time-at-load, and average test results based on groups. Up to 2800 test results can be stored in the EX200/300T tester. Results can be used to generate statistical reports. An RS232 output allows information to be transmitted to personal computers, printers or other compatible output devices. Special O-ring fixtures are available that assist in securing O-ring samples with cross-sectional measurements from 0.8 to 5 mm; 0.6 to 8 mm; and 4 to 20 mm.
