Newage Testing Instruments is accredited by A2LA as a provider of proficiency testing. Newage meets the requirements of ILAC Guide 13: 'Guidelines for the Requirements for the Competence of Providers of Proficiency Testing Schemes' (based on ISO/IEC Guide 43-1:1197, relevant elements of ISO/IEC 17025:1999, and relevant ISO 9001-1994 requirements).

Newage Testing Instruments scope of accreditation includes the following:

Rockwell Hardness Proficiency
The Rockwell hardness proficiency is intended to evaluate the ability of the laboratory to measure Rockwell hardness within the stated uncertainty. The artifacts are highly consistent Rockwell test blocks with traceability to NIST or to industry standards. The program is offered in the scales listed in ASTM E-18.

Brinell Hardness Proficiency
The Brinell hardness proficiency is intended to evaluate the ability of the laboratory to measure Brinell hardness within the stated uncertainty. The artifacts are highly consistent Brinell test blocks with traceability to NIST or to industry standards. The program is offered in the scales listed in ASTM E-10.

Vickers Hardness Proficiency
The Vickers hardness proficiency is intended to evaluate the ability of the laboratory to measure Vickers hardness within the stated uncertainty. The artifacts are highly consistent Vickers test blocks with traceability to NIST or industry standards. The program is offered in the scales listed in ASTM E-92.

Microindentation Hardness Proficiency
The Microindentation hardness proficiency is intended to evaluate the ability of the laboratory to measure microhardness within the stated uncertainty. The artifacts are highly consistent Micro Vickers or Knoop test blocks with traceability to NIST or to industry standards. The program is offered in the scales listed in ASTM E-384.

Durometer Hardness Proficiency
The Durometer hardness proficiency is intended to evaluate the ability of the laboratory to measure durometer hardness with the stated uncertainty. The artifacts are highly consistent durometer test blocks with traceability to NIST or industry standards. The program is offered in the scales listed in ASTM D-1415 and D-2240.

Leeb Hardness Proficiency
The Leeb hardness proficiency is intended to evaluate the ability of the laboratory to measure Leeb hardness with the stated uncertainty. The artifacts are traceable to NIST or industry standards. The program is offered in the scales listed in ASTM A-956.
