Our systems are designed to have a long product life and can operate in harsh testing environments with the appropriate level of preventative maintenance, calibration, and care.

Depending on your testing environment, the number of shifts you run, and your internal quality system, we can tailor a service plan that meets your individual needs. We offer complete field services for all Newage systems and instrumentation. From installation, commissioning and startup to calibration and operator training, your NTI Service Engineer will help you maximize the effectiveness of your instrument and your personnel.

Newage Testing Instruments are quoted with installation services provided by NTI Service Engineers. This will ensure that your new system will be set up, and properly commissioned to meet your ASTM standard for the intended application and have the appropriate paperwork to conform with your ISO Quality System. Our Service Engineer will also train your personnel to operate the system in a safe manner and the proper testing procedures to reduce and eliminate the human impact on test results. The system will be set up for the intended application and maximum throughput.
Your NTI Service Engineer will assure that your testing system is working exactly to its published ASTM standard. Our goal is to have your new equipment up and running and to have your personnel completely satisfied with the installation before we leave your site.
Newage Testing Instruments offers calibration and verification services for all of your hardness testing instrumentation per industry standards such as ASTM E18 and ISO 6508-2. Our field service technicians are factory-trained and accredited to provide you with accurate and economical calibration support in accordance with ISO 17025. All calibrations include verification with “As Found As Left” documentation. NTI Service Engineers have many years of experience providing services for NTI systems and 3rd party testing systems. We can be your “one-stop-shop” hardness calibration service provider. This will enable you to have all of your systems calibrated during one service trip and simplify the timing and coordination of your calibration needs. I also provides you with a more economical way to have all of your systems calibrated.
Unlike other service providers, we can also provide repair services for our systems and 3rd party systems. Other service providers may provide calibration services on 3rd party systems, but cannot provide repair services if they uncover a non-conformity during the calibration procedure.

Rockwell Testers
- Verify Rockwell measuring system using standardized hardness blocks (Indirect Method)
- Assure that machine load is properly set and can be applied without shock or vibration
- Verify condition of the anvil
- Verify condition of steel ball or the diamond indenter
- Provide both Indirect and Direct Verification Methods
- Standards: ASTM E18, ISO 6508, ANSI/NCSL-Z540-1
Brinell Testers
- Verify Brinell diameter measuring system using a standardized hardness block (Indirect Method)
- Assure that machine load is properly set and can be applied without shock or vibration
- Verify condition of the anvil
- Verify condition of nominal diameter of the ball indenter
- Provide both Indirect and Direct verification methods
- Standards: ASTM E10, ISO 6506, ANSI/NCSL-Z540-1
Micro-Hardness Testing Systems
- Verify Vickers and Knoop measuring system using standardized hardness blocks (Indirect Method)
- Assure that machine load is properly set and can be applied without shock or vibration
- Verify condition of the diamond indenter
- Provide both Indirect and Direct Verification Methods
- Standards: ASTM E384, ISO 6507, ANSI/NCSL-Z540-1
Durometer Shore Hardness Testers
- Durometer spring is calibrated by applying a measurable force to the indenter tip and using a load cell capable of measuring applied force at 50% of the calibration tolerance
- This is an factory calibration service
- Standards: ASTM D2240, ANSI/NCSL-Z540-1

Damaged equipment can paralyze your company’s ability to maintain your production throughput. Your Newage Service Engineer understands that a down system costs you and your company valuable time and money, that is why we offer a range of Repair Services including emergency repair for all Newage products. We also offer repair services for 3rd party hardness testing systems as well depending on parts availability from the manufacturer.
We also offer in-factory refurbishing services for NTI products which could also include updating of electronics and mechanical component replacement or refurbishing depending on the condition of the system. After our initial evaluation, there may be cases where refurbishing the system is not an economical solutions. We do offer trade-ins and can put a Sales Representative in contact with you in those cases.

Operator training is essential to ensure that your NTI system performs to its maximum efficiency and capability and conforms with the applicable test standard.
Training includes theory and practical hands-on training in the hardness testing of materials as required by relevant internationally recognized standards. We include a thorough overview of safety features, review sample preparation, and provide process for testing to reduce operator influence and assure consistent and repeatable results from one operator to another.

Newage Testing Instruments provides technical support should your operator have a question or encounter a problem. Unlike other service providers, NTI will not try to sell you a phone support contract. NTI offers life-time technical support on your Newage products at no additional cost. When you need us the most, we will be there to answer your call and extend you a hand rather than have our hand out for more money.
