Model CPIT Impact Model Pin Brinell

The Pin Brinell uses a calibrated shear pin to control the amount of load applied. After the impression is made the width is measured and the value converted to an equivalent Brinell number.

  • Test without clamping - access is only needed to one side of a test specimen.
  • Tests in 100 - 730 equivalent Brinell range (higher hardness requires a carbide tip indenter

Model CPST C-Clamp Model Pin Brinell

The C-clamp Version of the Pin Brinell comes in a kit with the CPIT. A stand is available for using the CPST as a bench unit.

  • Useful for testing smaller parts, smaller diameter rounds, and unsupported parts.
  • Tests parts up to 6" in diameter
  • Accuracy to +/- 1% of load applied
  • Also need a Brinell scope for measuring Brinell impressions?
    or an automatic Brinell scanner?
