The NI-HV30 Vickers hardness tester
provides the capability of micro and macro-hardness testing at higher loads in a single Vickers system for testing
case hardness on many types of materials, and especially on welds, ceramics, plastics and a wide range of other
materials where macrohardness loads are required. The use of Vickers hardness testers is more common in Europe, compared to Rockwell testing in the U.S., but it is increasing in the US due partly to the globalization of testing requirements.
